A contemporary artistic look at historical photographs of the Salzkammergut and Salzburg - a project as part of the European Capital of Culture Salzkammergut 2024.

The Time Travel project brings the little-known historical photographers of the Salzkammergut and photographs from the archive of the International Mozarteum Foundation in front of the curtain.

Eleven international photo artists interpret, comment on and compose these historical motifs into new visual narratives. They thus create a contemporary view of the region and Wolfgang Amadé Mozart and combine living tradition and cliché with modernity.

Contemporary artists: Yukimi Akiba (JPN), Kim Boske (NL), Elisabeth Czihak (AT), Tamas Deszö (HUN), Pawe? Jaszczuk (POL), Zhang Kechun (CHN), Patrick Lambertz (CH), Marco Lanza (IT), Stefanie Moshammer (AT), Yvonne Oswald (AT) und Zuzana Pustaiová (SVK).
